Buyer alleges Holiday World of League City misrepresented RV as structurally sound

Contract 02

GALVESTON – A Galveston County woman alleges a recreational vehicle she purchased from a League City business has defects and that the business has refused her a refund.

Peggy Farmer filed a complaint on Feb. 20 in the Galveston County District Court against Holiday World of League City LLC alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, on Oct. 11, 2017, the plaintiff purchased a recreational vehicle from defendant for $31,983.04. After purchase, she alleges the RV began leaking in the cabin, causing internal damage to wood and carpeting and subsequent mold build-up. She alleges she requested the defendant to either tender an exchange or a refund in January and the defendant refused.

The plaintiff holds Holiday World of League City LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly misrepresented the condition of the RV as new and structurally sound and failed to disclose material defects.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of $100,000 or less and all other relief to which she is entitled. She is represented by Matthew Chappell of Matthew Chappell Attorney at Law PLLC in Houston.
