Passenger alleges METRO bus became involved in wreck after running stop sign

Car accident 28

HOUSTON – Claiming his METRO bus ride resulted in a two-vehicle accident, Harris County resident John Simon has filed a lawsuit.

Recent court documents filed against METRO on Feb. 20 in the Harris County 334th District Court state that the bus carrying Simon on Mar. 25, 2016 ran a stop sign in an attempt to avoid a previously existing collision.

The act was unsuccessful since the bus collided with another vehicle, causing the plaintiff to suffer severe injuries, the suit says.

Consequently, Simon seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

He is represented by Michael S. Tilton and John A. Caston of the law firm Tilton & Tilton, LLP in Houston.
