HOUSTON – A group of local property owners have brought a breach of contract lawsuit against a Tomball-based general contractor, asserting the business exploited them following Hurricane Harvey.

Brice Beale of the law firm Hoover Slovacek, LLP filed the suit on behalf of Linda and Marvin Stein, Carolyn and H.F. Means, and Jean Johnston on Feb. 20 in the Harris County 157th District Court.

The plaintiffs reportedly hired Eagle to remediate their Harvey-damaged properties.

According to recent court documents, the business “took advantage of the situation by charging rates well in excess of market, failing to provide good and workmanlike services, engaging in fraudulent billing practices, and filing fraudulent liens.”

Consequently, the complainants seek unspecified monetary damages.
