HOUSTON – A mechanic claims he was hit by a yard truck while on the job two years ago and has filed a personal injury lawsuit.

Pablo Ramos’s suit, which was filed on Feb. 20 in the Harris County 129th District Court, accuses Averitt Express, Inc. and Averitt Properties, Inc. of not preventing the incident on Feb. 23, 2016. Ramos's wife, Melba, is a co-plaintiff.

Per recent court documents, Ramos was working at the defendant companies’ property near George Bush Intercontinental Airport when the aforementioned yard truck struck and injured him.

The yard truck’s operator at the time, Rick Bennett, is also a defendant in the case.

Consequently, Ramos seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

He is represented by Larry G. Trimble and Ryan M. Grant of the law firm Trimble & Grant, PLLC in Houston.
