GALVESTON – A Texas City corporation alleges that it was not paid for work on a piling project.
Piling Inc. filed a complaint on Feb. 21 in the Galveston County District Court against Jacks or Better Casino LLC alleging failure to pay.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that between March 29 and April 4, 2017, it supplied the necessary piling, material, labor and equipment for the preparation of defendant's project. After allowing for all just and lawful payments, credits, and offsets, the sum of $18,013.70 allegedly remains due and owing by the defendant.
The plaintiff holds Jacks or Better Casino LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed and refused to make payment for the said balance.
The plaintiff seeks judgment for the sum of $18,013.70, interest, attorney’s fees, all costs of court and such other and further relief. It is represented by Thomas Cain of Roberts, Johnson & Cain in Texas City.
