Former employees allege PMI Terminal Services failed to pay correct rate for overtime

HOUSTON – Two individuals allege their former employers failed to pay them the correct rate for overtime work.

Jesse Bunton and John Jones filed a complaint on Feb. 21 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Palacios Marine & Industrial Global Enterprises LLC, PMI Terminal Services LLC, et al. alleging that they intentionally violated the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they typically worked more than 40 hours per week during their employment with the defendants and were not paid proper overtime compensation for all hours worked over 40.

The plaintiffs holds Palacios Marine & Industrial Global Enterprises LLC, PMI Terminal Services LLC, et al. responsible because the defendants allegedly willfully failed to pay overtime premium at one-and-one-half times their regular hourly rates of pay for all hours excess of 40 in a workweek.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek actual and liquidated damages, attorney’s fees, costs of court, pre- and post-judgment interest and all other legal and equitable relief. They are represented by Lionel Martin and Melissa Garcia-Martin of Garcia-Martin & Martin PC in Sugar Land.
