Pappas Bar-B-Q patron alleges liquid on floor caused fall

Slip02

HOUSTON – A Harris County man alleges he was injured at a Houston restaurant when he slipped in liquid while walking back to his table.

Charles Fisher filed a complaint on Feb. 21 in the Harris County District Court against Pappas Bar-B-Q Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 1, he was injured when he slipped and fell on a puddle of liquid at defendant's restaurant in Houston. He alleges he suffered injuries to his legs, shoulders, neck, back and head, medical expenses, pain and suffering and lost wages.

The plaintiff holds Pappas Bar-B-Q Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to inspect the premises to discover any unsafe condition and failed to make it safe.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but not more than $1 million. He is represented by John Arthur Daspit and Joe Gabel of Daspit Law Firm in Houston.
