HOUSTON – A consumer alleges he has been harassed by a debt collector's calls.

Dwight Jarrett filed a complaint on Feb. 27 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Client Services Inc. alleging violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that sometime in 2017, he began receiving calls from defendant attempting to collect an alleged debt. He alleges he never provided his number to the defendant and had no relationship with it.

The plaintiff holds Client Services Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly made calls using an automatic telephone dialing system and continued to place calls even after his request to stop calling him.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks statutory damages of $1,000, treble damages of at least $500, actual and punitive damages, costs and reasonable attorney fees and such other just and appropriate relief. He is represented by Marwan R. Daher and Omar T. Sulaiman of Sulaiman Law Group LTD in Lombard, Illinois.
