HOUSTON – A Tennessee man working as a contractor alleges he was assaulted by an employee working for the same company because the employee was under the influence of drugs.

Frankie Everhart filed a complaint on March 2 in the Harris County District Court against Mohamad Massoud and Viking Enterprises Inc., doing business as Continental Air Ambulance and City Ambulance Service, alleging assault and battery and negligent hiring.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 28, 2017, he was working as a contractor with the defendants. He alleges he was injured when he was suddenly attacked and assaulted by defendants' employee at the Wyndham Hotel in Houston. He alleges the employee was under the influence of drugs.

The plaintiff alleges he suffered severe personal injuries and damages, including but not limited to disfigurement, emotional pain, mental anguish, medical expenses and lost wages and benefits.

The plaintiff holds Massoud and Viking Enterprises Inc. responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to exercise reasonable care in hiring, training, supervising and retaining their employees.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but not more than $1 million and such other lawful and equitable relief. He is represented by Joseph Onwuteaka of The Law Office of Joseph Onwuteaka PC in Houston.
