Semi crash 01

HOUSTON – A Harris County man has filed suit against a California resident and his employer over a collision on North Sam Houston Parkway.

Patrick Williams filed a complaint on March 8 in the Harris County District Court against Shipping Experts and Gennadiy Goncharuk alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 20, 2016, he was traveling on North Sam Houston Parkway service road and was injured when defendant Goncharuk negligently struck his vehicle with a tractor-trailer owned defendant Shipping Experts. The plaintiff alleges he suffered serious injuries that resulted in physical pain, mental anguish, medical expenses and lost wages.

The plaintiff holds Shipping Experts and Goncharuk responsible because the defendant Goncharuk allegedly failed to keep proper lookout, failed to yield to the right of way, failed to maintain a safe distance and failed to obey a traffic control device.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $100,000 but less than $200,000 and all other relief to which he may be entitled. He is represented by Michael J. Lowenberg, Andrew D. Kumar and Kyle P. Knizner of Lowenberg & Kumar in Houston.
