HOUSTON – A worker alleges a general contractor's negligence caused him to fall and fracture bones in his leg.

Ignacio Gonzalez filed a complaint on March 9 in the Harris County District Court against WDS Construction Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 29, 2017, he was injured while doing electrical work at defendant's project in Houston when his right foot became entangled under a piece of cardboard and caused him to fall. He alleges the fall caused him to fracture his right fibula and tibia.

The plaintiff holds WDS Construction Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to inspect the work environment to discover any dangerous conditions before ordering subcontractors to begin work and failed to warn that the cardboard had not been properly secured to the floor.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $100,000 but less than $200,000 and such other lawful and equitable relief. He is represented by Justin Carlisle of Law Offices of Domingo Garcia LLP in Houston.
