Signature Select Services employee alleges client pushed her off ladder

HOUSTON – A caregiver alleges she was injured by the actions of a client because her employer failed to provide a safe workplace.

Margaret Flores filed a complaint on March 13 in the Harris County District Court against Signature Select Services Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Feb. 28, 2017, she was injured while in the course and scope of her employment with defendant when she was pushed off a ladder by a client. The plaintiff alleges she suffered injuries to her left rotator cuff.

The plaintiff holds Signature Select Services Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide proper training and supervision.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but no more than $1 million and all other damages in accordance with law. She is represented by Sofia Bruera of Bruera Law Firm PLLC in Houston.
