Woman claims injuries from fall at assisted living facility

Editor's note: Silverado Senior Living sent the following comment to the Record: "This incident was prior to Silverado’s ownership of the Accel at Hermann Park property and Silverado never cared for this resident. We were erroneously included in the suit and are in the process of removing our name from the complaint."

HOUSTON – Harris County resident Patricia Reese is suing Accel at Hermann Park, Silverado Senior Living, and Stonegate Senior Living over a fall she allegedly experienced while under their care two years ago.

In a lawsuit filed in the Harris County 152nd District Court, Reese explains she was being treated at a facility located at 5600 Chenevert St. in Houston maintained by Accel on Mar. 16, 2016 when employees attempted to move her.

The workers were unsuccessful since they failed to maintain a solid grasp of her during the movement, recent court documents state.

Reese claims the incident caused her pain and suffering.

Consequently, she seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

Cornel A. Williams of the law firm Cornel A. Williams & Associates is representing the plaintiff.
