HOUSTON – A Friendswood man is alleged to have stolen money from his former employer.
North American RV Services Inc. filed a complaint on March 8 in the Harris County District Court against Christopher Rios alleging embezzlement, breach of contract and fraud and misrepresentation.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in Jan. 3, it hired defendant as a repairman to perform repair services on RVs. It alleges that the defendant "would falsely claim" to customers that the plaintiff "'dropped' the customer and that he was fulfilling the service call 'on good faith.'" The suit states the defendant would order parts through the plaintiff and then keep the labor fees himself. The plaintiff terminated the defendant in February, the suit states.
The plaintiff holds Rios responsible because the defendant allegedly stole money from the company, continues to claim he is a contractor of the plaintiff's and did not return a company cellphone. The plaintiff is seeking a temporary restraining order against the defendant.
The plaintiff seeks judgment of service labor fees collected to be in the minimum amount of $20,000, plus pre- and post-judgment interest, and all other relief, at law or in equity, general or special to which may show justly entitled. It is represented by Colleen M. McClure in Houston.
