Medical malpractice 06

HOUSTON – The next friend of a Harris County minor is seeking more than $1 million after the child was allegedly injured by a sharp piece of metal at a water park.

Nora Gibbs, individually and as next friend of E.G., a minor filed a complaint on March 15 in the Harris County District Court against Typhoon Waterpark of Texas, et al. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 12, 2016, E.G. was injured at defendants' Typhoon Texas water park when her finger was lacerated by a sharp piece of metal adjacent to a hand rail.

The plaintiff holds Typhoon Waterpark of Texas, et al. responsible because the defendants allegedly negligently caused a dangerous condition to exist on their premises and failed to warn their invitees of such danger.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $1 million and such other lawful and equitable relief. She is represented by Drew Gibbs and Emily Young of The Carlson Law Firm PC in Austin.
