Assault at gentlemen's club prompts patron to sue business

HOUSTON – A Harris County man is suing an adult entertainment venue after one of its employees allegedly attacked him.

Rolando Rocho sued Far Entertainment, LLC, doing business as Eden Gentlemen’s Club, on Mar. 22 in the Harris County 80th District Court over the Nov. 23, 2017 incident.

Rocho reportedly went to the business with his girlfriend. Upon the couple’s arrival, a worker told them to pay a cover charge of $20 and park in a specific area, to which they complied.

Court papers further state that the same employee approached the pair as they were leaving the club and requested they pay an additional $20 before they were allowed to exit.

The plaintiff says he informed the employee that he already paid the fee.

“The defendant’s employee then suddenly and without provocation assaulted the plaintiff by striking him in the face with a Maglite Heavy-Duty 4-Cell D Flashlight and then walked away,” the original petition says.

Rocho claims he suffered a broken jaw because of the assault.

Consequently, he seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

He is represented by Holland D. DeKeyzer and Meagan M. DeKeyzer of the law firm DeKeyzer Law, PLLC in Houston.
