MRM National Construction employee alleges he was injured because of unsafe work environment

HOUSTON – A Harris County man alleges that he was injured while working because his employer failed to provide a safe working environment.

Anderson Martinez filed a complaint on March 27 in the Harris County District Court against MRM National Construction LLC and John Doe alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 25, 2016, he was injured while performing duties for defendant MRM when the rope he was holding on got entangled around his feet, jerking him up approximately 20 feet to the air and causing him to fall to the ground. He alleges he suffered serious injuries that resulted in medical expenses, lost wages and mental anguish as a result. 

The plaintiff holds MRM National Construction LLC and John Doe responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide a safe working environment.

The plaintiff seeks actual and special damages, pre- and post-judgment interest, costs, expenses, attorney's fees and such other legal and equitable relies. He is represented by David K. Mestemaker, Norman Straub, Jonathan B. Zumwalt and Codi D. Kraus of Mestemaker & Straub in Houston.
