Passenger alleges Metro bus driver was distracted before colliding with vehicle

Car accident 45

HOUSTON – A Metro bus passenger alleges he was injured when the bus collided with another vehicle.

Wayne Grice filed a complaint on March 27 in the Harris County District Court against Metropolitan Transit Authority alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 19, 2016, he was riding defendant's Metro bus when he was injured when the bus collided with a vehicle that was stopped for traffic. He alleges he suffered serious injuries that resulted in pain, mental anguish, medical expenses, disfigurement and lost wages as a result of the collision.

The plaintiff holds Metropolitan Transit Authority responsible because its bus driver allegedly negligently drove the vehicle while distracted, failed to maintain and proper lookout and failed to timely apply his brakes.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $100,000 but less than $200,000 and such other relief to be determined by jury. He is represented by Bruce A. Munson of The Munson Law Firm in Houston.
