Arriva Best Security alleged to have failed to compensate security guard

GALVESTON – A former employee of a security service provider alleges he was not paid at all for three weeks of his employment.

Olalekan Oyewo filed a complaint on April 4 in the Galveston County District Court against Arriva Best Security Inc. alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act and breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff worked for the defendant from September to October 2017 as an hourly security guard. He alleges for the weeks ending on Sept. 30, Oct. 7 and Oct. 14, 2017, he was not compensated at all by the defendant.

The plaintiff holds Arriva Best Security Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to compensate him for minimum or overtime wages.

The plaintiff seeks unpaid overtime compensation, liquidated damages, attorneys’ fees, costs, expenses, pre- and post-judgment interest and such other relief as to which he may be entitled. He is represented by James M. Loren, George Z. Goldberg and Rachael Rustmann of Goldberg & Loren PA in Dallas.
