Harris Co. woman blames slip and fall at Toyota Center on venue owners

Slip01

HOUSTON – A Harris County woman has filed a lawsuit over an alleged slip and fall at Toyota Center.

Lauren Hancock’s suit against Clutch City Sports and Entertainment, LP and Pritchard Industries (Southwest), Inc., which was filed on Apr. 6 in the Harris County 334th District Court, claims Hancock was walking on the premises on Apr. 9, 2016 when “a dangerous condition” caused to fall and sustain injuries.

Court papers are unclear as to what brought the plaintiff to the downtown Houston venue, which is the home of the Houston Rockets.

According to the plaintiff, the defendants, which own the arena, should have warned her and other guests about the condition.

Consequently, she seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

Ryan M. Snider of the Law Office of Ryan Snider in Friendswood is representing Hancock.
