Former Sweet Bar Inc. baker alleges he is owed unpaid overtime compensation

HOUSTON – A baker alleges he was not paid the appropriate rate for overtime work by his former employer.

Manuel Guachiac Sac, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated, filed a complaint on April 12 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Sweet Bar Inc., Tout Suite LLC, et al. alleging violation the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that during his tenure with defendant from 2013 through Feb. 26, 2018, he regularly worked more than 40 hours per week without receiving overtime premium for all hours worked over 40 hours per workweek. 

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks unpaid overtime compensation, liquidated damages, attorney’s fees, costs and such other just and equitable relief. He is represented by Josef F. Buenker of The Buenker Law firm in Houston.
