V Star restaurant diner alleges she fell because of grease on floor

Slip01

HOUSTON – A Houston woman alleges that she fell in a restaurant because of grease on the floor.

Elisa Hinojosa filed a complaint on April 13 in the Harris County District Court against V Star LLC and 8440 Gulf Freeway LLC alleging premises liability.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 9, 2016, she was dining at defendants' V Star restaurant in Houston. While walking towards her table, the suit states she slipped and fell because of grease on the floor. She alleges she suffered injuries that resulted in pain, mental anguish, disfigurement, lost wages, medical expenses and other damages.

The plaintiff holds V Star LLC and 8440 Gulf Freeway LLC responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to warn invitees of the condition.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $100,000 but less than $200,000 and such other lawful and equitable relief. She is represented by Scott R. Frase, Kraig L. Rushing and Barrett W. Beck of Bronston Legal PC in Houston.
