HOUSTON – A local man has filed a lawsuit against his employer after he allegedly fell from a ladder while on the job in Baytown, recent Harris County District Court records indicate.

Kenneth McClain sued Syed Enterprises, Inc. in the Harris County 164th District Court on Apr. 16, stating the defendant sent him to 2802 Garth Rd. to repair a water leak coming from the ceiling on June 28, 2016.

McClain says there was a lot of water flowing out upon his arrival. The task required the plaintiff to use a 6’ ladder, but he did not have assistance to help lock the ladder in place or stop the flowing of water, court papers say.

The force of the water leak purportedly knocked McClain down from the ladder.

The plaintiff was then transported to the hospital.

Consequently, he seeks unspecified monetary damages.

Joshua Estes of The Estes Law Firm, P.C. in Richmond is representing McClain.
