HOUSTON – A Starr County man alleges that he was injured twice during his employment on a vessel as a seaman.

Adalberto Cepeda filed a complaint on April 17 in the Harris County District Court against Weeks Marine Co. LLC alleging that the vessel owner failed to provide adequate equipment.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 19 and in April 1, he was severely injured while in course and scope of his employment with defendant working aboard its vessel. He alleges he suffered injuries that resulted in pain and suffering, mental anguish, loss wages and medical expenses as a result of the injuries.

The plaintiff holds Weeks Marine Co. LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly did not provide well-maintained equipment.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $1 million and such other lawful and equitable relief. He is represented by Anthony G. Buzbee and Christopher J. Leavitt of The Buzbee Law Firm in Houston.
