Driver alleges Time Warner employee failed to keep proper lookout, caused collision

BEAUMONT – A Port Arthur woman alleges she was injured in a collision caused by the negligence of a Time Warner employee.

Janis Allen filed a complaint on April 2 in the Jefferson County District Court against Time Warner Cable Inc. and Joseph L. Dies alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 9, 2016, she was injured when she was involved in a vehicle collision with defendant Dies, who in the course of his employment with defendant Time Warner. She alleges she suffered severe property damages as well as serious permanent injuries as a result of the collision. 

The plaintiff holds Time Warner Cable Inc. and Dies responsible because Dies allegedly failed to keep proper lookout, failed to control his speed and failed to timely apply brakes to stop his vehicle.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of less than $500,000 and such other general and special relief. She is represented by Ronnie Turner Jr. of Provost and Umphrey Law Firm LLP in Beaumont.
