BEAUMONT – A customer at a Beaumont store alleges he was shocked by wires inside of a cooler.
Kenneth Granger filed a complaint on March 21 in the Jefferson County District Court against Gator Exxon LLC alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Feb. 21, 2017, he was shocked by bare wires when he was reaching for a soda inside a cooler at the defendant's West Cardinal Drive, Beaumont location. He alleges he sustained injuries to his right hand, shoulder, neck and body as a result.
The plaintiff holds Gator Exxon LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to exercise ordinary care to reduce or eliminate the risk or warn of it.
The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $100,000 but not more than $200,000. He is represented by Tom Oxford of Waldman Smallwood PC in Beaumont.
