BEAUMONT – A Jefferson County man alleges that he was injured while working at his employer's Beaumont home.

Antonio Daniels filed a complaint on March 22 in the Jefferson County District Court against Todd Miscleritz alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Feb. 8, he injured his back while lifting a bag of cement while doing remodeling work at the defendant's house. He alleges he sustained serious and permanent injuries as a result.

The plaintiff holds Miscleritz responsible because the defendant allegedly was negligent in providing a safe work environment.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million, prejudgment interest and attorneys' fees. He is represented by Jesus A. Salinas and John A. Daspit of Daspit Law Firm in Houston.
