HOUSTON – A Harris County resident alleges she has suffered permanent brain damage because of the negligence of a physician during a surgery.
Billye Washington filed a complaint on April 20 in the Harris County District Court against Abdul Quadir Memon, MD and Abdul Q. Memon MD & Associates alleging medical negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Feb. 22, 2016, she was to undergo a simple elective endoscopic sinus surgery. Prior to the procedure, she was given a muscle relaxant by defendant Memon to intubate her, but was unsuccessful.
