Pedestrian accident in downtown Houston results in lawsuit

Car accident 01

HOUSTON – A pedestrian accident last year in downtown Houston has resulted in a lawsuit, per recent Harris County District Court records.

Mary Deborah Richard initiated legal action against Oldair Medina, doing business as Aztec Towing, and Roberto Manzano over the incident at issue on Apr. 23 in the Harris County 157th District Court.

Court documents say that Richard was crossing the street from a place of worship in the 1100 block of St. Joseph Parkway when Manzano, driving a tow truck for the respondent business, turned from the 1900 block of San Jacinto Street and struck the plaintiff.

Manzano reportedly admitted at the scene that he turned and hit Richard.

Consequently, the complainant seeks unspecified monetary damages.

She is represented by Frank B. Daniel of the law firm Essmyer & Daniel, P.C. in Houston.
