Passengers allege Nederland man failed to yield in Port Arthur collision

Car accident 23

BEAUMONT – Two Port Arthur residents allege a Nederland man failed to yield and caused a collision in Port Arthur.

Michelle Walker and Larry Walker filed a complaint on Feb. 22 in the Jefferson County District Court against Matthew Wagner alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on April 8, 2016, they were injured when Wagner's vehicle slammed into the vehicle they were riding in while traveling on FM 365. They allege they suffered injuries to their necks and backs, lost earnings and suffered mental anguish as a result of the collision.

The plaintiffs hold Wagner responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to yield to the right of way and failed to keep a lookout.

The plaintiffs seek monetary relief in an amount of $200,000 but not more than $1 million. They are represented by Jonathan C. Juhan of J.J. Bragg in Beaumont.
