HOUSTON – A Spring man alleges Adaptive Driving Access, Inc. contributed to a car accident involving him almost two years ago and has pursued legal action against the business, per recent Harris County District Court records.
James Berk Clarke filed a lawsuit on May 1 in the Harris County 334th District Court, claiming he took his 2012 Toyota Sienna to the defendant for repairs in late December 2016 only for the defendant to perform the task poorly.
Clarke retrieved the Sienna after the car was reportedly repaired and drove on the feeder road of the North Sam Houston Parkway.
“His vehicle malfunctioned, and he was involved in an accident,” the original petition says. “The vehicle left the roadway and struck several stationary items including a gate and fencing before finally coming to rest on private property.”
Consequently, the plaintiff seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.
He is represented by Clay Crawford of the law firm Sears Crawford, L.L.P. in Houston.
