Medical malpractice 05

HOUSTON – A Harris County woman alleges she was injured while participating in a team-building activity in Mexico.

Julianne King filed a complaint on May 7 in the Harris County District Court against Valeant Pharmaceuticals International Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff's husband is employed by the defendant and traveled with him to attend an award ceremony in Mexico. She alleges that on April 28, 2016, she was participant in a team-building activity with her husband's co-employees when she was injured in an obstacle course. The suit states she sustained a significant break where the ankle meets the foot, requiring multiple surgeries.

The plaintiff holds Valeant Pharmaceuticals International Inc. responsible because the obstacle course allegedly was dangerous, incompetent or unfit.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but not more than $1 million and all other relief that are lawful and equitable. She is represented by Doanh "Zone" T. Nguyen of Lopez Peterson PLLC in Laredo.
