HOUSTON – A Pennsylvania debt collector is alleged to have harassed a man with its collection calls.

Michael O. Walker filed a complaint on May 15 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Transworld Systems Inc. alleging that the debt collector violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in September 2017, he began receiving calls from the defendant attempting to collect an alleged defaulted medical debt. He alleges in November 2017, he told the defendant to stop calling him but it has continued to do so.

The plaintiff holds Transworld Systems Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly continued to make calls even after his request to stop calling him, intentionally made calls multiple times in one day and on back-to-back days, and used an automated telephone dialing system.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual and punitive damages, costs and attorney fees and all other relief that is just and proper. He is represented by Omar T. Sulaiman, Marwan R. Daher and Alexander J. Taylor of Sulaiman Law Group LTD in Lombard, Illinois.
