HOUSTON – A woman was allegedly burned by hot water drawn for her bath at a Houston facility.

Juanita Mapps, as next friend of Isabella Williams, an incapacitated person, filed a complaint on May 21 in the Harris County District Court against Angels that Work for Quality Service Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 24, 2017, Williams was stepping into a tub of water that had been drawn by defendant's staff and was burned by the scalding water.

The plaintiff holds Angels that Work for Quality Service Inc. responsible because the defendant's staff allegedly negligently ran bath water hot enough to burn Williams' skin and the defendant allegedly failed to properly train the employee that drew Williams' bath water.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $1 million and all other relief to which Isabella Williams is justly entitled. She is represented by Joel B. Flowers III and Charles W. Livingston II of Livingston Flowers Law Firm in Houston.
