HOUSTON – A physician is suing United Airlines after he reportedly discovered a sharp object in his inflight meal, per recent Harris County District Court records.
Dr. Mohit Khera filed a lawsuit on May 22 in the Harris County 234th District Court, alleging the ordeal occurred when he was flying from Boston to Houston last year.
Khera asserts that he bit into what was a “sharp metallic hook and/or nail.” The object immediately caused him pain and bleeding, court papers say.
They add the injury hindered the doctor’s ability to chew.
LSG Sky Chefs North American Solutions, Inc. is a co-defendant in the litigation because it allegedly provided the meal embedded with the hook.
Consequently, Khera seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.
He is represented by Matias J. Adrogue, Leila M. El-Hakam, and Zeinab K. Kahid of Houston.
