Bronze Body alleges former employees misappropriated trade secrets

BEAUMONT – A tanning service provider alleges two former employees misappropriated its trade secrets and now operate a competing business.

Bronze Body III Inc. filed a complaint on May 17 in the Jefferson County District Court against Last Tan Standing LLC, Tiffany Pfieger and David Joel Smith alleging misappropriation of trade secrets and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff provides tanning services in Jefferson County under the name Bronze Body and Last Tan Standing operates a tanning business under the name Florida Tans. The suit states Last Tan Standing is owned by Smith and Pfieger, who are former employees of the plaintiff.

The plaintiff alleges that Smith and Pfieger purchased Florida Tans and now compete with the plaintiff. It also alleges that Pfieger "stole" its customer list and misappropriated confidential information.

The plaintiff seeks temporary injunction against the defendants and all other and further relief to which plaintiff is entitled. It is represented by Jeffrey T. Roebuck of Roebuck & Thomas PLLC in Beaumont.
