HOUSTON – A religious institution alleges an unknown individual deleted information off of an online account without authorization.
Guidance College Inc. filed a complaint on May 29 in the Harris County District Court against John Doe alleging theft and conversion, misappropriation of trade secrets and other counts.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 17, plaintiff's members were unable to login to their Wufoo.com accounts and it learned that the accounts had been deleted.
The plaintiff holds John Doe responsible because the defendant allegedly logged in to and accessed its members Wufoo.com accounts and deleted all of plaintiff's forms, data, reports and other documents stored in that account without authorization.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and such other and further relief to which it may be entitled at law or in equity. It is represented by Sameh Aly and Woodrow Brown of Abogado Aly PLLC in Houston.
