HOUSTON – A Harris County man alleges he was injured in a fall at a Katy water park.

Pedro Gamboa filed a complaint on May 31 in the Harris County District Court against WP Ventures LLC, doing business as Typhoon Texas, et al. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 7, 2016, he was injured when he slipped and fell on a smooth slippery surface while exiting defendants' water slide attraction located in Katy. He alleges he suffered serious injuries that resulted in pain and suffering, mental anguish, medical expenses and lost wages.

The plaintiff holds WP Ventures LLC, et al. responsible because the defendants allegedly negligently maintained their property in a reckless and careless manner and failed to provide warning signs of the floor's dangerous condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and such other and further relief to which he is entitled. He is represented by Loren G. Klitsas and Jared W. Capps of Klitsas & Vercher PC in Houston.
