HOUSTON – A Harris County resident alleges he injured his head and hip after falling on a Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County bus.

Earl Jones filed a complaint on June 4 in the Harris County District Court against Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Feb. 6, he had boarded the defendant's bus and fell when the driver accelerated before he was able to find a seat. He alleges he suffered severe injuries to his head, back, neck, hip, arms and legs as a result of the fall.

The plaintiff holds Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County responsible because defendant's employee/driver failed to operate the bus in a safe manner.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $100,000 but less than $200,000 and such other and further relief to which he may be entitled. He is represented by Michael S. Tilton and John A. Caston of Tilton & Tilton LLP in Houston.
