HOUSTON – A patron of a Houston restaurant alleges she was injured after tripping on a rug.

Angela Grisaffe filed a complaint on June 19 in the Harris County District Court against Teotihuacan Inc., doing business as Teotihuacan Mexican Cafe, et al. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 29, 2016, she was injured when she tripped and fell while walking out of defendants' premises due to a rug that was not lying flat on the ground. She alleges she sustained serious injuries resulting in mental anguish, pain and suffering, medical expenses and lost wages.

The plaintiff holds Teotihuacan Inc., et al. responsible because the defendants allegedly negligently maintained their property in a reckless manner and failed to provide a warning.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and such other and further relief to which she is entitled. She is represented by Loren G. Klitsas and Jared W. Capps of Klitsas & Vercher PC in Houston.
