HOUSTON – A shopper alleges she was injured at a Pasadena home improvement store when a box fell on her head.

Violeta Rodriguez filed a complaint on June 20 in the Harris County District Court against Home Depot USA Inc. alleging failure to provide a safe shopping environment.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 14, 2017, she was injured at the Home Depot store premises in Pasadena when heavy boxes crashed on her head, causing her to suffer neck pain, head pain, shoulder pain, back pain and headaches.

The plaintiff holds Home Depot USA Inc. responsible because the defendant's employee allegedly failed to properly to secure the box.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief between $100,000 and $200,000 and such other and further relief to which she may be entitled. She is represented by Bryon W. Boenig of The Boenig Law Firm in Houston.
