MARSHALL – A Smith County woman alleges she was injured at a Longview property because of an unmarked slope in a walkway.

Wilma L. Johnson filed a complaint on June 21 in the Marshall Division of the Eastern District of Texas against Air Liquide America LP alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Feb. 22, she was injured on defendant's premises in Longview when her foot landed on an unmarked slope in a walkway, causing her to stumble and fall. She alleges she severely fractured her right knee as a result of the fall.

The plaintiff holds Air Liquide America LP responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to exercise ordinary care to reduce the risk of users of the walkway where she fell.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount to be determined by the jury, plus interest, costs of court, and such other and further relief to which she may be justly entitled. She is represented by Michael Ace and Randell C. Roberts of Roberts & Roberts in Tyler.
