HOUSTON – A guest alleges she was injured at a Houston hotel because of water at the entrance.

Tomika Talley filed a complaint on June 22 in the Harris County District Court against HEI Hospitality LLC, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide LLC and Marriott International Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 15, 2016, she was injured at defendants' Houston hotel when she fell due to water that accumulated at the hotel's entrance.

The plaintiff holds HEI Hospitality LLC, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide LLC and Marriott International Inc. responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to properly maintain the hotel premises and failed to adequately warn invitees of the dangerous condition.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and such other and further relief that are legal and equitable. She is represented by Carlos Hughes Jr. of The Hughes Law Firm in Houston.
