HOUSTON – A Harris County woman has filed a lawsuit after undergoing what she asserts was a botched laser hair removal procedure.

Kalena Terry is suing Vanicare Medspas, Inc., doing business as Limitless Medspa, claiming she was “horribly” burned at the defendant’s facility on Nov. 13, 2017.

Court papers filed on June 22 in the Harris County 189th District Court allege that the respondent used the wrong equipment, as well as misused it.

“Upon consultation with laser hair professionals, it has become apparent that the defendant did not meet the industry standards in its treatment of Ms. Terry,” the suit says.

Consequently, the plaintiff seeks unspecified monetary damages.

She is represented by James O. Blackwell, III of the Blackwell Law Firm, PLLC in Houston.
