Graebel Orlando Movers alleged to have damaged construction project during installation process

GALVESTON – A Florida contractor alleges that a subcontractor it hired for a Galveston project caused damage.

T&G Corp. filed a complaint on June 25 in the Galveston County District Court against Graebel Orlando Movers Inc., et al. alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 31, 2013, plaintiff entered into a blanket subcontract agreement with defendant Graebel for warehousing and moving services in connection with the plaintiff's hotel construction project in Galveston. The suit states another agreement for the delivery and installation of furniture, fixtures and equipment was signed between the parties in February 2015.

The plaintiff alleges Graebel's installation of the furniture, fixtures and equipment damaged the project.

The plaintiff holds Graebel Orlando Movers Inc., et al. responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to install the items in a professional and workmanlike manner and attempted to assign of the subcontract agreement without plaintiff's consent.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but not more than $1 million and other non-monetary relief. It is represented by Robert E. Booth of Mills Shirley LLP in Galveston.
