Thor motor home purchased from Holiday World of Katy has defects, consumers allege

HOUSTON – A Harris County couple alleges that a motor home they purchased has defects and seeks a refund.

Jerry Jones and Nancy Jones filed a complaint on June 24 in the Harris County District Court against Holiday World of Katy LLC and Thor Motor Coach Inc. alleging that they violated the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on May 16, 2016, they purchased a 2018 C Thor Synergy SD24 from defendants' dealership. When delivered, the plaintiffs allege they noticed numerous defects with the vehicle and that such defects substantially impaired its use, value and safety. They plaintiffs allege they have returned the vehicle to Holiday World of Katy at least four times for repair and it still does not conform with the warranty.

The plaintiffs seek revocation of acceptance and a refund of the purchase price, reimbursement of expenses related aftermarket items installed on the vehicle and out-of-pocket expenses, attorney's fees, costs and interest and such other and further relief to which they may be entitled.
