HOUSTON – Companies hired by an Iraqi resident doing business in Harris County to manufacture valves are alleged to have failed to ship them in a timely manner and manufacture them in the U.S.

Walled Mamoon filed a complaint on June 22 in the Harris County District Court against AES Valves LLC, IES Interests LLC, IES International Energy Services LTD, et al. alleging breach of contract and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 15, 2009, the plaintiff contracted defendants for the production and furnishing of pipe valves for $929,819.65. On June 14, 2010, the suit states that a procedural error at the Bank of Iraq accidentally transferred $1.5 million to IES LTD's account and the defendant has refused to return the mistaken payments.

The plaintiff also alleges IES missed the shipment date for the values.

The plaintiff holds AES Valves LLC, IES Interests LLC, et al. responsible because the defendants allegedly refused to return the mistaken excess payments in the amount of $642,680.35, failed to ship the valves in a timely manner and failed to supply valves manufactured in the United States.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $1 million and other non-monetary relief. The plaintiff is represented by Walat Aqrawi and Aaron Aiken of Aqrawi Aiken & Nguyen PLLC in Houston.
