Patient alleges Harris County dentist's negligence during root canal caused injuries

HOUSTON – A patient alleges a Harris County dentist caused her injury during a root canal.

Hilda Rodriguez filed a complaint on June 25 in the Harris County District Court against Neelfur Shirvani DDS, Premier Dental Care, et al. alleging professional negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 24, 2016, she underwent a tooth extraction and root canal treatments performed by Shirvani. She alleges since receiving the treatment, she continues to experience extreme pain and suffering, severe swelling, blurred vision and headaches. 

The plaintiff holds Shirvani, Premier Dental Care, et al. responsible because the defendants' negligence allegedly caused her permanent disabling injuries.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief in the amount of $195,000 and such other and further relief to which she is justly entitled. She is represented by David N. Calvillo, David M. Medina and Juan F. Vasquez Jr. of Chamberlain, Hrdlicka, White, Williams & Aughtry PC in Houston.
