HOUSTON – A Texas woman alleges she faced discriminatory treatment because of her sex and age while employed by a California-based company.

Kathy Coon filed a complaint on July 2 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against CoreLogic Inc. and FNC Inc. alleging that they violated Title VII of the Civil Rights Act and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff began working for FNC in 1999 and in April 2016, CoreLogic purchased FNC. She alleges after CoreLogic purchased FNC, her male manager reduced her compensation without her consent and gradually reduced the scope of her responsibilities. The suit states that her position was eliminated effective March 1, 2017.

The plaintiff holds CoreLogic Inc. and FNC Inc. responsible because the defendants allegedly intentionally discriminated against her by reducing her pay, removed all normal duties and responsibilities without explanation and by ultimately terminated her because of her sex and age, which is older than 40.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all damages suffered and all legal fees, costs and expenses, with interest and such other and further relief as the court deems appropriate in law or at equity. She is represented by Gordon R. Cooper II of Cooper & Cooper in Houston.
