HOUSTON – An employee of two Pasadena companies alleges that he was injured because of an unsafe work environment.

Yancy Ramos filed a complaint on July 2 in the Harris County District Court against Texas Transteel Co. LLC and Texas Transteel Transit LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 21, 2016, he was injured while working for the defendants when he slipped and fell while stepping off the vehicle on a scale. He alleges he sustained serious personal injuries, mental anguish, pain and suffering, disability and medical expenses.

The plaintiff holds Texas Transteel Co. LLC and Texas Transteel Transit LLC responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide a safe place to work, failed to provide proper assistance and training and failed to implement adequate safety policies and practices.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but not more than $1 million and such other and further relief to which he is entitled. He is represented by Loren G. Klitsas and Jared W. Capps of Klitsas & Vercher PC in Houston.
